Hey there, Kevin here from Astris Partners.
I get the same question on almost every intro call, and I want to answer it properly here.
“When will we see results?”
Here’s the honest version.
The first two weeks are setup. Email infrastructure needs configuring, sending accounts need warming, and the right authentication has to be in place before a single message goes out.
This part is invisible from the outside. But it is the reason most in-house outbound campaigns collapse after a month.
The domain starts flagging. Deliverability drops. Emails stop landing. Most teams that try to run outbound themselves rush this phase or skip it entirely.
They spend months wondering why open rates are falling.
Week three is when the first sends go out to real prospects.
Replies typically start appearing around week four. Not a flood. A trickle first, then a pattern.
Those early weeks of live sending teach you things no amount of planning can prepare you for. Which segments actually respond. What the real objections sound like. Which messages get replies and which get ignored.
By week six, you have something worth working with. Real data from real people. Enough signal to know what is working, what needs adjusting, and where to push harder.
Now compare that to the in-house timeline.
Month one: find and hire an SDR or GTM engineer. Month two: onboarding, tool setup, list building, writing sequences. Month three: first sends, first mistakes, rebuild.
Real campaigns with actual signal usually show up somewhere around month four or five, assuming the hire works out.
That is three to six months before you have anything meaningful to act on. Months of payroll, software costs, and opportunity cost before a single real conversation with a buyer who could close.
The advantage of working with a specialist is not just execution speed. It is compression.
You skip the ramp that costs most companies an entire quarter, and you start collecting real data in week three instead of week thirteen.
Cold outbound is not a switch you flip and walk away from. It is a system that gets smarter the longer it runs.
The teams that get the most from it treat week three as a starting point, not a deadline.
Talk soon,
